Serap D. Rada, Ph.D., is the assistant director of graduate studies for the Philip Merrill College of Journalism.
Previously, Rada was the Director of Global Communities, a living-learning program on campus dedicated to enhancing intercultural communication. She also taught in the Department of Government and Politics at the University of Maryland and worked as a private consultant before joining the Humphrey Program.
She conducted research as a Fulbright Fellow in Istanbul, Turkey, and as a National Science Foundation Fellow in South Korea. Her dissertation is “State Intervention in the Economy: Institutional Aspects of Incentive Regimes in Turkey and South Korea.”
